Laura J. Larocca, PhD
South Greenland, summer 2019
Hello and welcome!
I am a climate and geospatial scientist.
My research program uses natural archives preserved in lakes, along with historical and remotely sensed observational datasets to provide a longer–term framework for anticipating the consequences of ongoing warming on the Arctic climate system and cryosphere.
I'm currently a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate & Global Change Postdoctoral fellow hosted at Northern Arizona University. I completed my PhD at Northwestern University in 2021. I will be joining the School of Ocean Futures at Arizona State University as an Assistant Professor in January, 2024.
